Like notmal life we need to be on our toes when hiring a lawyer... Why ? Not all lawyers are made the same. Some have a Southern Charm and might not bode well in a NY City courtroom.... etc etc

One would think tis common sense, but really a realestate lawyer is not going to help you get out of a dwi now is he?
Not checking on the price of lawyers in their field - Really this is common sense,,,, My personal opinion of lawyer is that they cannot be trusted,,, I know but Its been my experience. So like buying your favorite car check the prices in multiple locations.
Picking a Lawyer because you know them - Millions of lawyers out there , but you go with your old high school buddy. WRONG - If you dont know why heres a few reasons. One your business is personal dont share it will only come back to bite you. They may not run on the same track that you need at that point in time. There are many more reasons
Not getting a referral - Lawyers are Lawyers right? If you see a recurring theme here your right. Get one by word of mouth is probably the best way to go.... I remember in my divorce case my ex used this little piss ant girl lawyer that chewed up and spit my lawyer out on the ground. Following that incident my wife used a friend to cover her case and you can bet your bottom dollar that I hired her attorny pronto.... Just saying.
Never meeting before you go to court..... = Well you cant judge a book by its cover, but the Judge in court will, and a nasty unkept lawyer with flys buzzing around his head will get you nowhere faster then a two year old running through the candy store...
